Prayer for Young People

O God, we pray and beseech you
to guide and protect young people
from the dangers that are ever present in our world today.
Be with them, as they experience both sickness and health,
sorrow and joy, loneliness and friendship, success and failure.
Gracious God,
give to them the courage and strength
to make the right decisions as they journey through life.
Through the power of the Holy Spirit,
may they come to know and experience your loving care.

- We make this prayer through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

April, 2012

Dear Parents,

We start the month in the holiest week of the liturgical year – it starts with Palm/Passion Sunday and ends with the Easter Triduum of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday. Tomorrow night, the Friendship Room is ready for you and your children to “Walk Through Holy Week”. The displays are open from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Spend as much or as little time as you like, to visit the four centers. They are meant to start conversations, review, refresh, and inspire!    The rest of the month offers a solid slate of class time and celebrations:

April 11th Regular Classes  + Gr. 7 Mtg.

April 15th SUNDAY – CONFIRMATION at 10:30 Mass

Easter's Real Meaning

So often I don't stop to think about Easter's real meaning.
I need to jump out of bed, run to the garden, hear for myself
the angel saying "He has risen, he is not here!"
Surprise me, Lord! Fill me with the joy of that early morning,
so that I understand what it means for me that you are

 Alive!     Alive!     Alive!
